CytoGrow™ Recombinant IL-11 (Human), CHO, Tag Free
Recombinant human interleukin-11 (IL-11) is produced in CHO cells in a tag-free format, providing a biologically active protein with proper folding and post-translational modifications. IL-11 is a pleiotropic cytokine belonging to the IL-6 family, involved in hematopoiesis, inflammation, and tissue repair.
In humans, IL-11 is secreted by stromal cells, fibroblasts, and epithelial cells. It plays a key role in stimulating megakaryocyte maturation and platelet production, while also exerting anti-inflammatory and cytoprotective effects. IL-11 is additionally involved in bone metabolism, mucosal protection, and promoting tissue regeneration. Recombinant IL-11 is widely used in studies of hematopoiesis, cardiovascular biology, mucosal defense, fibrosis, and therapeutic research.
