CytoGrow™ Recombinant IGF-II (Human), HEK293, Tag Free
Recombinant human insulin-like growth factor II (IGF-II) is produced in HEK293 cells in a tag-free format, ensuring proper folding and human-like post-translational modifications. IGF-II is a mitogenic polypeptide hormone structurally related to insulin and IGF-I, playing an essential role in embryonic growth, tissue development, metabolism, and cell survival.
In humans, IGF-II is highly expressed during fetal development and contributes to cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival through binding to IGF receptors and insulin receptor isoforms. It is also implicated in metabolic regulation, stem cell biology, and cancer progression. Recombinant IGF-II is widely used in developmental biology studies, stem cell and organoid culture, metabolic research, and oncology models.
