SfN Neuroscience 2025 Recap: A Week of Innovation, Collaboration, and Discovery

Neuroscience 2025 has officially come to a close—and what an energizing, inspiring, and truly memorable week it has been with over 600 researchers stopping by booth #720 to explore VitroGel® hydrogel system, a xeno-free system designed to replace traditional ECMs and advance NAMs-driven 3D cell culture.

Our end-to-end VitroGel® platform streamlines every step of the workflow and empowers a wide range of applications, including organoid formation, stem cell expansion, 3D neuronal differentiation, and in vivo applications.

The excitement around advancing neuroscience research was felt in every corner of the venue. For our team, this year’s meeting was a milestone celebration of innovation, collaboration, and community.

SfN Neuroscience 2025 Highlights

Neuroscience 2025 represented a significant milestone for TheWell Bioscience, featuring strategic product introductions, meaningful scientific collaborations, and a continued commitment to advancing 3D cell culture.

The event highlighted the growing interest in our expanding portfolio, particularly with the unveiling of three innovative solutions:

Poster Presentation

Our poster presenters brought the energy from day one. Attendees crowded around to learn how our xeno-free VitroGel® systems are transforming workflows across 2D and 3D neuronal culture, neural stem cell expansion, and disease modeling. We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by, engaged with our data, and shared their own research perspectives.

ABSTRACT #7656 | PSTR100.16/A16

Title: Developing a Biofunctional Xeno-free Hydrogel Platform for Long-term 3D and 2D Neuronal Differentiation and Maintenance

Product Theater Session

One of the week’s highlights was our Product Theater. The session focused on how the VitroGel® system is transforming 3D stem cell and neuron culture. The product theater brought together scientists, innovators, and curious minds eager to see new tools that accelerate reproducibility and scalability in neuron research. Seeing attendees resonate with the possibilities of synthetic, animal-free ECM alternatives was truly rewarding.

Everybody Loves Alexis TheWhale

Of course, no recap of SfN 2025 would be complete without mentioning the breakout celebrity of the meeting—Alexis TheWhale. Attendees had a blast collecting the exclusive whale-themed giveaways, and daily Alexis sightings at Booth #720 quickly became a crowd favorite, drawing photos, laughter, and plenty of smiles.

We also want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who visited our booth, followed us online, and connected with our team throughout the event. Your enthusiasm and support made this year truly special.

And speaking of excitement—a big congratulations to our three lucky winners of the king-sized Alexis TheWhale!
