CytoGrow™ Recombinant Neurturin (Human), CHO, Tag Free
Recombinant human Neurturin (NRTN) is produced in CHO cells in a tag-free format, ensuring proper folding and post-translational modifications. Neurturin is a member of the glial cell line–derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) family, functioning as a potent neurotrophic factor that supports the survival, differentiation, and maintenance of specific neuronal populations.
In humans, Neurturin binds to the GFRα2 receptor and signals through the RET tyrosine kinase pathway, promoting the development and maintenance of peripheral and central nervous system neurons. It plays a key role in supporting dopaminergic and parasympathetic neurons and has been studied for therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson’s disease. Recombinant Neurturin is widely used in neuroscience research, neuronal culture systems, and studies of neuroprotection and regeneration.
