TheWell Bioscience Makes Waves at AACR 2025!

We’re still riding the wave of excitement from the AACR 2025 Annual Meeting in Chicago! From April 27–30, we were thrilled to welcome over 800 researchers to our booth, where they discovered the VitroGel® hydrogel system—a powerful, synthetic, animal-free alternative to traditional ECMs for 3D cell culture. Our xeno-free, end-to-end system supports every step of your workflow and covers a wide range of applications from:

The conversations, insights, and shared enthusiasm for advancing 3D cell culture reminded us of the power of collaboration in driving meaningful scientific progress.

This year’s AACR Annual Meeting was a major milestone for TheWell Bioscience, marked by exciting product launches, scientific collaboration, and a strong focus on advancing 3D cell culture.

It was inspiring to see the excitement surrounding our expanding portfolio, especially as we unveiled three groundbreaking innovations:

VitroGel® NEURON

VitroPrime™
Ultra-Low Attachment Plates

CytoGrow™
Growth Factors and Supplements

Another highlight is the poster presentation by our dedicated research scientist, Alejandra I. Ferrer Díaz, Ph.D. Her work focused on using VitroGel® in EMT models and glioblastoma spheroid invasion, making a significant contribution to advancing consistent, animal-free systems for cancer progression research.

We also had a splash of fun with the debut of our brand ambassador Alexis TheWhale, who helped us spotlight our latest innovations and bring some joy to our booth. If you brought Alexis home from AACR25, snap a photo of her in action — on your desk, in the lab, with your team — and share it with us, use #TrackAlexisTheWhale!

We are grateful to everyone, especially those interested in shifting to a xeno-free approach for their cell culture needs, who visited, exchanged ideas with us, shared their research, or simply stopped by to say hello.

We can’t wait to see you again at our upcoming events. Until then, let’s keep sailing towards the future of 3D cell culture and making waves in the world of science! 🌊
