CytoGrow™ Recombinant PDGF-BB (Porcine), CHO, Tag Free

Recombinant porcine Platelet-Derived Growth Factor-BB (PDGF-BB) is produced in CHO cells in a tag-free format, ensuring native dimeric folding and mammalian-specific post-translational modifications. PDGF-BB is a primary mitogen and potent chemoattractant for cells of mesenchymal origin, including fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, and pericytes, playing a central role in wound healing and tissue regeneration.

In porcine and cross-species models, PDGF-BB acts as a high-affinity ligand for both PDGF receptor α (PDGFR-α) and β (PDGFR-β), stimulating cellular pathways that drive proliferation, migration, and survival. It is specifically critical for the stabilization of nascent blood vessels by facilitating the recruitment of mural cells to the vascular basement membrane. The CHO-derived, tag-free expression system ensures high specific bioactivity and eliminates potential steric hindrance or immunogenicity often associated with large protein tags, providing superior consistency for delicate cell-based assays.
