CytoGrow™ Recombinant PDGF-BB (Bovine), CHO, Tag Free
Recombinant bovine Platelet-Derived Growth Factor-BB (PDGF-BB) is produced in CHO cells in a tag-free format, ensuring native dimeric folding and mammalian post-translational modifications. PDGF-BB is a major mitogen and chemoattractant for mesenchymal cells, playing a fundamental role in embryonic development, cell proliferation, and tissue remodeling.
In mammalian models, PDGF-BB acts through the PDGF receptor α (PDGFR-α) and β (PDGFR-β) to initiate signaling cascades that promote cellular survival and motility. It is particularly known for its role in blood vessel maturation by recruiting pericytes and smooth muscle cells to endothelial tubes. The use of a CHO expression system paired with a tag-free process ensures high specific bioactivity and batch-to-batch consistency, eliminating the risk of tag-induced interference in receptor-binding assays.
